Strawberry Pretzel Salad

                                                                                                    

Crust:  

2 c. crushed pretzels

3/4 c. melted margarine (1½ sticks)

4 Tablespoons sugar

Salad:

1 c. sugar

8 oz. cream cheese (softened)

8 oz. cool whip

Top layer:

Lg. pkg. strawberry jello

2 c. boiling water

2 pkgs. frozen sliced strawberries

Method 

Mix ingredients for crust. Put in 9×13 inch metal pan and bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Let cool completely. Mix salad ingredients and spread on top of crust. Top layer: Mix jello w/boiling water, add frozen sliced strawberries.  When it starts to jell pour over salad layer. Refrigerate until firm.
